Mr. Millie Shield, a native of Sorrell and a resident of Port Arthur, Texas, answered the call of his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 5, 2018, in Houston, Texas, ending his pain on this earth.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mrs. Mary Louise Shield; one sister; five brothers; one grandson; and one great granddaughter. Those who remain to cherish his memories are his four sons Miller Sr. (Vanessa) of Beaumont, Curtis (Tina) of Flower Mound, Jeffery (Carlina) of Port Arthur, Raynard of Houston (Fiancé Nicole); one beloved daughter Jacqueline “Salihah” Shearyahshub (Zecharyah) of Port Arthur; 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.  Funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Gabriel Funeral Home in Port Arthur, with a viewing from 11 a.m. until service time. Rev. Airon Reynolds Jr. Officiating.  The dress attire is casual. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas.
