The Bride is a 2000 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and graduated from Lamar University. She now hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She is employed by Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.

The prospective Groom is a 1998 graduate of Deweyville High School and graduated from Lamar University. He now holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. He is employed by Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. The couple plan to marry at 6:00 p.m. on December 16, 2006 at The Brown Center in Orange, Texas.



Woods - Delage

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Woods of Beaumont, Texas announce the engagement of their daughter Courtney Ann Woods to Landon Earl Delage, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Delage of Nederland.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Hamshire- Fannett High School and graduated from Lamar University, she holds a BBA degree in Accounting. She is employed by Dupont.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Nederland High School and graduated from Lamar University, he holds a BBA degree in Marketing. He is employed by Lamar University. The couple plans to marry at 7:00 p.m. on December 9, 2006 at St. Charles Catholic Church.



ANNIVERSARIES



Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carl Miles

Rita Merle and Walter Carl Miles of Port Arthur will celebrate their 50th anniversary on November 19, 2006. The celebration was hosted by Carla Miles Broussard.

Rita Merle Clay and Walter Carl Miles were married on November 17, 1956, at St. Mary’s Church in Port Arthur, Texas. Rita has been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 47 years. Rita is a retiree of Texaco Chemical in which she was employed for over 22 years. Walter has been a Mason for 49 years where he served as Master in 2003-2004 and is currently serving as Marshall. Walter is a retiree of the IBEW in which he was employed for over 41 years.

The couple has three children: Carla Miles Broussard of Lake Charles of LA and the late John Clayton Miles and the late Mark Reed Miles. The couple also has three grandchildren.
