PN-G High School Band Action Committee

PORT NECHES — The PN-G High School Band Action Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school band hall.

The agenda includes the election of new officers and information about end of school year and summer events. The band directors will be available to answer questions at the meeting. Parents/guardians of eighth grade band members are especially encouraged to attend this meeting in order to become involved in their child's high school band program.



Wrestling returns to Port Neches

PORT NECHES — Gulf Coast Power Pro Wrestling will return to the city on Saturday at the Port Neches Armory, 511 Grisgby Ave.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children and can be purchased at ACE Glass on Twin City Highway in Nederland. The bell time is at 8 p.m. and doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Homerun Derby, Parents Co-Ed Softball Tournament begins Friday

PORT NECHES — Port Neches Little League will host a fundraising Homerun Derby and Parents Co-Ed Softball Tournament April 28 and April 29.

• Homerun Derby, 6 p.m. April 28, all ages.

Parents Co-Ed Softball Tournament, April 29, 9 a.m. Must be part of PNLL or a family member.

All proceeds will go to PNLL. For details, call Mike Gallagher at 351-4077.



Port Neches Youth Football Association, Cheerleading hold registration

PORT NECHES — Registration for Port Neches Youth Football and Cheerleading will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 29 and May 6 at the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical and Energy Workers Union Hall on 1609 Port Neches Ave.

Programs include flag football (ages 5-7), junior and senior tackle (ages 8-12 depending on weight), and cheerleading (ages 5-12). Children need to bring a copy of their report card and birth certificates.

Practice will start in August and games will begin in September. Port Neches is just one of 12 cities around the Golden Triangle participating in the Southeast Texas Junior Football League. For more info, check the Web site www.pnyfa.com.



Riverpasses sold through April 28

PORT NECHES — The Riverpasses for unlimited carnival rides during Riverfest will be sold through April 28 at the Port Neches Chamber of Commerce, Texas State Bank, Wells Fargo, Neches Federal Credit Union and MCT Credit Union.

Also, volunteers are needed for Riverfest. Volunteers do not need to be Port Neches residents. For more information, call the chamber at 722-9154.

The annual Riverfest will be held from May 11 to May 13 at Port Neches Park.
