- Central Middle School Bond Forum set for Tuesday The Nederland Independent School District is hosting an open house and Bond Forum Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at Central Middle School. The meeting will be held in the auditorium and a tour of the building will be conducted following the presentation for those interested in seeing areas of the building.
- Tax impact of proposed NISD bond issue The proposed bond election for Nederland Independent School District is scheduled for Saturday, May 9. Voting will occur at Nederland City Hall on Boston Avenue. This third article will address the estimated tax impact on citizens who reside in the district.

School finance is difficult to understand even for a seasoned educator.

Nederland ISD calls for bond election
The Nederland ISD Board of Trustees officially called for two May elections — the first, a Board of Trustees election for three at large positions.
The second was for a bond, proposed not to exceed $120,340,000.
