Another fire has been reported in the Lakeview area of Port Arthur, bringing the total of suspected arsons to seven.
At approximately 8 p.m. a fire was reported in the 1000 block of Trinity Avenue in Port Arthur. Firefighters arrived on scene quickly and were able to extinguish the blaze without incident according to Port Arthur Fire Marshall Mark Mulliner.
“The fire was reported fairly quickly, neighbors were able to spot it.” said Mulliner. “They (firefighters) were able to make a pretty good stop.”
Along with the fire Sunday night, Three fires occurred on the night of May 30 and another three on the night of May 31. All of these fires are believed to have been intentionally set and investigators with the Port Arthur Police Department and fire department are currently searching for those responsible for these crimes.
People are asked to remain observant and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
“Keep your porch light on to help keep areas well lit and be vigilant of noise or anything that looks out of the ordinary.” Said Mulliner.

If you have information pertaining to a possible suspect who may be setting the vacant buildings on fire, call the PA fire marshalls office at 409--83-8737.
