PA home invasion, shootings leave two in hospital

PORT ARTHUR — Home invasion, shooting leaves man in critical condition

A home invasion in Port Arthur has left one man in the hospital after he was shot numerous times.

Port Arthur police responded to the 4300 block of Turtle Creek Drive on Monday, Dec. 31. Once on scene the officers learned that three men had forced their way into the residence of a man and woman, forcing them to lie on the ground and demanding money from them. The suspects also rummaged through the apartment.

One of the suspects then shot the male victim several times, the suspects then fled the area. The victim was brought to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he remains in critical, but stable condition.

Evidence was collected from the crime scence and the PAPD is handling the investigation. The suspects remain at large.

Early-morning shooting in PA leaves man in hospital

A shooting in the early morning hours of New Year’s Eve has left a 37-year-old man in the hospital and Port Arthur police searching for assailants who fired shots from a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Officers received a call at approximately 4:38 a.m. on December, 31 informing officers of a shooting victim at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Once on scene officers discovered the 37-year-old man was being treated for two gunshot wounds.

Police learned the victim was leaving a friends home in the 1100 block of West Sixth Street when a vehicle pulled up, an unknown suspect then fired several shots at the victim before driving away.

Port Arthur police processed the crime scene and are continuing the investigation. The victim is in stable condition and the suspect or suspects are still unknown at the time of the press release.
