I-10 westbound in Orange County closed due to second fatality wreck

The Texas Department of Public Safety is working a fatal crash in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Orange County. There are no details on this crash at this time.

There is also a stalled vehicle in the outside lane of the westbound lane on the Purple Heart Memorial Bridge, according to a press release from DPS Trooper Stephanie Davis.



PREVIOUS REPORTING

Beaumont Police responded to the crash at about 2:14 a.m. Aug. 31 where they learned the driver of a GMC pickup truck was driving eastbound in the westbound lane of I-10 when the pickup collided head on with an 18-wheeler. Acadian Ambulance Service transported the driver of the 18-wheeler to Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth emergency room for treatment of minor injuries, according to a press release from BPD.
