Two men are in jail following a call to Port Arthur police regarding a burglary in progress.
At approximately 1:43 a.m. Wednesday, August 1 PAPD received a call reporting two men had forced their way into a home in the 600 block of 10th Street. The witness described the two men, stolen property as well as the suspect’s vehicle.
Using the description, officers were able to canvas the area and locate the vehicle driving away from the location. They then stopped the vehicle and recovered the stolen items from inside the vehicle.
Both suspects were positively identified and were transported to the Jefferson County Jail. They have been charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
