The City of Port Arthur awarded the Memorial High School Titans football team on Monday for the successful season that brought the community together.
“We are very proud of how well they did in football and how well they united the community,” said councilman Morris Albright III.
“They really gave the citizens something to rally around,” Albright added.
Courtesy Photo Members of the Central Middle School Tenor-Bass Choir and the Treble Choir traveled to Vidor Junior High on January 28th to participate in the Solo-Ensemble Contest. The Canines returned with fourteen medals - eight for solos and six for an ensemble. Earning the superior rating for their solos were Autumn Chamberlain, Melanie Morton, Kelby Myers, Noelle Nevala, Jenny Nguyen, Drew Seymour, Corbin Smith and Kristalin Stark. Members of the superior ensemble were Haley Carey, Caitlyn Carre, Mallory Jackson, Kerrie Kyles, Sarah Mayhall and Hannah Wilkerson. Receiving an excellent rating for his solo was Bobby Feemster. Earning excellent ratings for their ensemble performances were Bailey Borque, Mark Alan Byers, Corbin Smith, Drew Seymour, Dinah Bunger, Haylee Dore, Victoria Guerrero, Kiley Manning, Melanie Morton, Kristalin Stark, Eren Claiborne, Ali Clark, Harley Jones, Camryn LaBure, Hailey Morgan, Noelle Nevala, Kayla Beach, Morgan Brown, Hannah Beadle, Autumn Chamberlain, Inaara Maredia, Kelby Myers, and Caitlyn Smith. Mrs. Janet Myers is their Choir Director.
