Golden Triangle Writers Guild officers announced

— Carolyn Dixon was named 2010-2011 president of The Golden Triangle Writers Guild. Other officers are vice-president Wayne Rabalais, secretary Lynn Partain, treasurer Richard Perry, member at larger Kathy Haskins, member at large replacing Carolyn Dixon, Ben Lee; immediate past president, D. J. Resnick.

Author Pamela S. Thibodeaux, the co-founder and a lifetime member of Bayou Writers Group in Lake Charles and a member of White Roses in Bloom Authors, was the guest speaker at the installation meeting. Multi-published in romantic fiction as well as creative non-fiction, her writing has been tagged as, “Inspirational with an Edge!” and reviewed as “steamier and grittier than the typical Christian novel without decreasing the message.” Her website is pamelatibodeaux.com

The 2010 Writers Conference, “The Writers Roundup,” will be held on Oct. 14-16.

Incoming president, Dixon, with assistant coordinator Henry Netherland, will do conference coordination. Committee chairs will be announced as they are formed.

The Beaumont MGM Elegante Hotel will be the host site again this year, according to Dixon.
