Calvary Baptist Church
Calvary Baptist Church, 2208 Canal Street in Port Acres will sell pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, straw and corn silks as well as offer story time for the little ones. An area will be set up for pictures in the patch.
The patch is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday beginning October 13. Proceeds will go to “Shoes for Orphan Souls,” a program that helps orphans across the world.
Memorial Baptist Church
Memorial Baptist Church, 4011 Memorial Blvd, will sell pumpkins, gourds, and Indian and strawberry corn as a fundraiser for the youth group’s mission project with the food bank and for summer youth trips. On Saturdays, activities will include a moon walk, clowns with balloons, and pictures in the patch. Brisket sandwiches, drinks, cookies, and cakes will be sold also.
The patch will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday and lasting until October 31.
There will also be story telling for daycares and elementary schools from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For details, call 983-5654.
Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church
Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 10169 U.S. 69 South, will host its 17th annual craft sale from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. Barbecue dinners will be $6.
Boys and Girls Club Harvest Festival
The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Port Arthur is hosting a Harvest festival from 1 to 3 p.m.. Oct. 28 at the club, located at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 525 Nashville Ave.
The free festival will include games, crafts, snacks, prizes, goodies, candy and a haunted maze. The event is open to children and adults of all ages.

Wesley United Methodist Church
NEDERLAND — A Trunk or Treat celebration is coming. The Wesley United Methodist Church in Nederland will provide candy for youngsters from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 in the church parking lot, 3515 Helena Avenue.
The church will also provide a moon walk, games, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs and drinks.
The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
A special Halloween
The Service League of Port Arthur will host a Halloween party for Special Adults at the Fetters Center at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 30 at the center on Main avenue in Groves. Everyone will be in costumes, so come out for games, food and prizes.
Boston Avenue Trunk-R-Treat
NEDERLAND — The annual Boston Avenue Trunk-R-Treat event is scheduled for 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Anyone interested in booking a parking space for this year's Boston Avenue Trunk-R-Treat should call Holly at Occasions at 729-8555. Spaces are limited and are filling up quickly.
Holy Cross Lutheran Church
NEDERLAND — The Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland is gearing up for their annual Tailgate Trick-or-Treat Festival from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 in the church parking lot, 2711 Helena Avenue.
The church is expecting 1,500 plus people this year.

First Baptist Church of Nederland
NEDERLAND — The First Baptist Church of Nederland, 1911 Nederland Avenue, is preparing for a Fall Festival from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, in the church gym. The festival will include booths and candy giveaways.
Trinity Presbyterian Church
PORT NECHES — Trinity Presbyterian Church will host a “trunk or treat” party from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The church is located at 805 Sierra Drive in Port Neches.
Church on the Rock
BEAUMONT — Golden Triangle’s Church on the Rock’s fright free alternative to traditional Halloween is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 6355 U.S. 69 S. (intersection of Hwy 69 and Twin City Highway). This fun filled night will have lots of games and activities for all ages and all events are free. Senior Halloween Carnival
NEDERLAND — Booty Ritter Senior Citizens Center in Nederland has invited the Port Neches Senior Citizens Center members to a Halloween carnival from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Senior Citizens Center located at 914 Boston Ave.
Activities include a fortune teller, cake walk, washer games, and many other surprises. October birthdays will be celebrated in a mini birthday bash. A “best dressed scarecrow” contest will take place and all are invited to join in. If you want to eat lunch, you must call Becky at the Nederland center at 727-5230, before noon on Monday to order a meal.
Anyone wanting to make a donation can bring half a cake (wrapped), for the cake walk, or a bag of candy.
Port Arthur Public Library
Port Arthur Public Library has special events planned for Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Dress in your halloween best and pick up a treat: a free children’s book, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the library.
Story time for toddlers is from 10:40 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and pre-school aged children story time is from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
Elementary students can team up with a book buddy each Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Please call for a reservation at 985-8838, ext. 37.
