Kara Stevens of South East Texas Regional Planning Commission will be at the PN senior citizen center to assist with applications for a Senior Citizen Health Maintenance grant made available through Area Agency on Aging. You must be at least 60 years of age, have lived in Jefferson, Hardin or Orange county before the hurricane, and still live there now. Some of the items eligible for the grant are eyeglasses, hearing aids, walkers, canes and other medical equipment, plus doctor fees. There will be no charge to the senior. This free event is open to the public and begins at 11:45 a.m., Friday, Feb. 2. For more information call the Center at 727-8650 or SETRPC at 899-4829 X 158.
