PORT ARTHUR — Port Arthur police investigated the following reported incidents during the week:

Tuesday, March 20

• A large amouont of welding lead, valued at $19,650, was stolen from Gulf Copper, 320 Houston Ave. An officer later recovered the items in a vehicle in the 200 block of Fifth Street.

• A Romanian AK-47 assault rifle was stolen from a vehicle at Prince Hall Apartments.

• A man was arrested for displaying a ficticious registration and numerous outstanding warrants while in the 3100 block of 17th Street. The ficticious registration tag was regenerated on a copying machine.

• A toolbox with $600 in various hand tools, three life jackets and a boat battery were stolen from a boat house in the 5700 block of Jade Avenue.

Monday, March 19

• A chain saw and case were stolen from the 5700 block of S. Gulfway Drive.

• Three 5-gallon water containers with an unknown amount of pennies, a computer and fax machine/printer were stolen from Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

• A 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan was burglarized at Wheatley School.

• A wallet with identification information and $10 cash was stolen from a 2007 Chevrolet Impala parked at Soupier Walmart, 4999 Twin City Highway.

Sunday, March 18

• A 2002 Ford Focus was stolen from Southern Kitchen restaurant.

• A truck stored at Fred’s Wrecker Service was taken from the wrecker yard without the owner paying for storage fees.

• The building at Moore, Stanberry and Baught Architects was burglarized.

• A .357 handgun was stolen from Timber Creek Apartments.

• A cell phone and $90 was stolen from a home in the 3300 block of 12th Street.

• A DVD player, cell phone, CD tape cassette stereo and assorted bottles of liquor were stolen from a home in the 700 bloc of 10th Street.

Saturday, March 17

• Someone entered property in the 700 block of Dunbar and dissembled an air conditioning compressor unit and removed the copper from inside the unit.

• A 50 gallon wash tub filled with hand tools and power tools, valued at $1,000, plus a large brown bag containing assorted wrenches and impact sockets, valued at $1,500, were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Lansing.

• Attempted burglary in the 2200 block of Robinhood.

• Two women were assaulted with knives by four to five other women at Prince Hall Apartments.

• Two sliding glass windows were damaged in the 3900 block of Donald.

Friday, March 16

• A 2007 Honda Civic was damaged while in the 500 block of Sabine Avenue.

• A wallet with driver’s license, checkbook, debit card and gas card was stolen from the 900 block of DeQueen Boulevard.

• The attempted burglary of a number of coin operated machines was reported to have occurred at Hendon’s Car Wash.

• A 1992 Cadillac was burglarized while at Port Arthur Park Apartments.

• A rim and tire were stolen from a 2002 Cadillac El Dorado while parked in the 1800 block of Lakeshore Boulevard.
