PORT NECHES — Tuesday, June 12

• Leaving the scene of an accident in the 400 block of King’s Row.

• A juvenile was detained in the 700 block of Llano on a curfew violation.

• A juvenile was detained in the 2800 block of Nall on a curfew violation.

Monday, June 11

• Criminal mischief in the 1400 block of Gulf.

• A suspicious person was investigated in the 2900 block of Nall.

• Harassment in the 2700 block of Marilyn.

• Harassment in the 600 block of Block.

Sunday, June 10

• Assault in the 1500 block of Dieu.

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 2000 block of Magnolia.

• Information was investigated in the 800 block of Ridgewood.

Saturday, June 9

• Theft in the 3100 block of Saba Lane.

• Recovery of stolen property on Gist.

• Theft in the 700 block of Texas.

Friday, June 8

• Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 1300 block of Katy.

• Burglary in the 2100 block of 10th Street.

• Assault in the 1400 block of Nall.

• Assault in the 2300 block of Third Street.

• Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle in the 700 block of Cherokee.

• Two people were arrested on traffic warrants.

Thursday, June 7

• Theft in the 1100 block of Dallas.

• Abandoned bicycle in the 2300 block of Earle.

• Recovery of stolen property in the 1200 block of Merriman.

Wednesday, June 6

• Criminal mischief in the 2100 block of 10th Street.

• Criminal mischief in the 700 block of Ridgewood.

The Central Middle School Band capped off a successful year by competing in the Solo and Ensemble Contest on May 5th. Forty-eight students brought home 66 medals.  Band members who won honors are: Danny Abdullah, Syrina Akbari, Abigail Albright, Max Barclay, Joel Bardwell, Jordan Bardwell, Brandon Baumgardner, Anthony Bennett, James Brindza, Cullen Cessna, Vanessa Daigle, Collin Elliott ,Dyan Emerson, Cyle Hubbard, Colin Jackson, Jennifer Jones, Jordan Jones, Jase Keel, Jessica Koons, Marissa Licatino, Todd Luke, Kade McCorvy, Jordan Mitchell, Kelby Myers, Mason Ouzts, Sara Pierce, Kayla Prestridge, Daniela Rodriguez, Noah Ross, Shae Sanders, Chandler Smith, Brian Speight, Erin Stilley, Arriana Torres and Tommy Truong Central's Band Directors are Joe Vargas and Michelle Melancon. On May 15th, the Band will hold its final performances of the year. They will play in Central's auditorium at 9 AM. Later that evening, they will be part of the Nederland ISD Band Pageant at the Performing Arts Center.
