The bride is a 2003 gradu ate of Port Neches-Groves High School High School and will graduate from Lamar University in May 2007 with a B.S. degree in Dietetics. She is employed by the Law Offices of Cheryl Olesen, P.C. The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Nederland High School and will gradu ate from Lamar University in May 2007 with a B.A. de gree in Business Manage ment. He is employed by Ritter Lumber. The couple plans to marry at 1:00 p.m. on May 19, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Nederland.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike and Tracy Barnett and Kevin and Lisa Bellow announce the engagement of their daughter, Staci Loren Bar nett, to Jared Paul Gary, son of Jeff and Jeanie Gary and Andy and Candy Gilbert. The prospective Bride is a 2001 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and a 2004 graduate of La mar University. She holds an Interdisciplinary Studies Degree and is currently em ployed as a teacher in the Nederland Independent School District. She will complete her Master’s De gree in Educational Admin istration in January. The prospective Groom is also a 2001 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Lamar University in Beau mont. In January of 2006, Jared attended Wendlestedt Umpire School in Daytona Beach, Florida. This past summer he completed his first assignment, working as a professional umpire in the Minor Leagues. The couple plans to marry on January 13, 2007 at First Christian Church in Port Arthur.
