Ms. Patricia L. Gordon and Mr. Johnnie L. Rankins would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kenya Yashima Gordon, daughter of the late Mr. Otis L. Gordon, to Jessie Cole, Jr., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Cole, Sr.
The bride is a 1991 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and is currently attending Lamar State College Port Arthur, majoring in nursing. The groom is a 1985 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and is currently working with Conex Construction Company and is the owner of his own business, J and K Dump Trucking.
The couple is planning an evening wedding at First Sixth Street Baptist Church on April 21, 2007.
