WEDDINGS



Esquivel - Cadena

Tina Michelle Esquivel of Groves, Texas became the bride of Christopher Cadena of Nederland, Texas on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, Texas in a double ring ceremony. Father Dan Malain, along with Deacon Ramiro Reyes, officiated at the ceremony. Music and vocals for the wedding Mass were provided by Joey Love and Stacie Taylor. Scripture readings were presented by Emily Esquivel and Rene’ Castro. A reception followed the nuptials at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Linda Esquivel of Groves, Texas. The groom is the son of Gilbert and Ernestina Cadena of Nederland, Texas.

Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was Georgette Esquivel. Bridesmaids were Kari Plessala, Jennifer Hanna, and Yolonda Delaney. The flower girl was Madison Esquivel. Serving the groom as Best Man was Stuart Hughes. Groomsmen were Bryan Spell, Chris Catalina, and Jamie Hood. Ushers were Brian Esquivel, Wade Breaux, Emilio Romero, and Whitaker Chisam. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School and a graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She is employed with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Nederland High School and graduated from Texas State University at San Marcos. He holds a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. He is an Assistant Criminal District Attorney with Jefferson County in Beaumont, Texas. Following their honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Nederland, Texas.



Esqueda-Guy

Cassie Leah Esqueda became the bride of Cody Lee Guy Saturday February 10, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Port Arthur, Texas in a double ring ceremony with Father T.R. Blanco officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Atanacio “Tony” Esqueda of Groves. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Johnnie of Groves. Music was provided by Dwight Pierce, Michael Westbrook and Kurt Gilman and Cathy Evans provided the vocals. Attending the bride as Maid of Honor was Laura Lofton and Matron of Honor was Dana Wiltz. Bridesmaids were Casey Jourdan and Jamie Gongora, Sierra and Ava Wiltz were the flower girls and Zachary Garsea carried the rings. Blaine Guy served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Adam Brown, Curtis Stafford, and Austin Begnaud. Ushers were Aaron Dupuis, Jason Myers, Rodolfo Torres, and Harry Wiltz.

The Bride is a 2003 graduate of Nederland High School and graduated from Lamar University. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Marketing and employed by the Law Offices of Herschel L. Hobson. The Groom is a 2002 graduate of Port-Neches Groves High School and graduated from Lamar University. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Marketing and is employed by the Eads Company. Following their honeymoon in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico, the couple will reside in Nederland.



Wiggins - Payne

Tara Leigh Wiggins and Andrew William Payne were united in marriage on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Groves.

The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Alan Van Hooser. Music was provided by organist Rose Lynn Tibbs. The reception followed at The Courtyard with music provided by Donna Marx. The bride is the daughter of Scott and Holly Wiggins of Port Neches. The groom is the son of William and Janis Payne of Groves.

Kayla Wiggins, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Audrey Payne, Tiffany Lough, Jennifer Bos, Shauntel Duhon, and Joy Driver. Jimmy Mears served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Payne and Jordan Payne, brothers of the groom, Todd Barns, Heath Stevison and Micah Duplant. Bailey Wiggins, cousin of the bride, served as the Flower Girl and Cole Stogner, nephew of the bride, served as the Ring Bearer. Austin Miller and Kenneth Wiggins, cousins of the bride, and Blake Gauthier and Brian Gauthier, cousins of the groom, served as Ushers. Andrea Miller, aunt of the bride, and Paige Miller, Amy Wiggins, and Shelbi Wiggins, cousins of the bride, served in the House Party.

Following their honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Groves, TX.



ENGAGEMENTS



Ferrell-Bouillon

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Ferrell of Orange are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Leigh Ferrell, to Cody Michael Boullion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darren Boullion.

Amy is employed as a nurse at Southeast Texas OB-GYN Associates in Beaumont. Cody is employed by Coca-Cola Enterprises in Beaumont. The couple plans to be married on March 10 at First Baptist Church Orange at 3 o’clock.



Green - Thomas

Ms. Bridget Green and Mr. Larry Green of Port Arthur would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Deadra Michelle Green to Ervin Thomas, Jr., son of Mrs. Phyllis Thomas and the late Irvin Thomas, Sr. of Port Arthur.

The bride graduated from Lamar University, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and is employed by Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

The groom attended Lamar State College - Port Arthur and is employed by the City of Port Arthur.

The couple plans to marry at 5:00 p.m. on March 3, 2007 at East Mount Olive Baptist Church.



ANNIVERSARIES

Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Branch

Kendall and Gloria Branch of Port Arthur celebrated their 50th anniversary with a dinner in Houston. The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren.

Gloria Washington and Kendall Branch were married on Dec. 29, 1956, in Beaumont, Texas.

Kendall and Gloria have two daughters: Fay Kirby of Cyress and Glayds Henderson of Pearland.
