BEAUMONT —
Mississippi-based rock act Saving Abel is returning to Southeast Texas this fall.
Saving Abel will appear in concert on Thursday, Sept. 23, at Whiskey River in Beaumont in support of its sophomore album, “Miss America.” The on sale date for tickets has not been announced, but ticket price will be $15 for ages 18 and older.
Saving Abel last performed in Beaumont as part of Dog Jam ’09 in the fall of 2009 in support of its self-titled debut, which featured the hit songs “Addicted,” “New Tattoo,” “Drowning (Face Down)” and more.
The band released its new CD, “Miss America,” on June 8 and it quickly debuted at number 24 on the Billboard album chart, the highest charting position for either of the band’s releases. The single, “Stupid Girl (Only in Hollywood),” has received plenty of air-play as it moved up the rock charts to number 12. Along with heavy rotation on MTV2, the band has also been scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! next Monday.
Saving Abel recently performed in Houston this past Saturday night and is currently touring with support act We Are The Fallen, plus special guests American Bang and Taddy Porter.
