It's official. Country music superstar Tim McGraw is coming to Southeast Texas.
SMG, the management company of Ford Park in Beaumont, officially announced Monday morning that country music singer Tim McGraw will bring his "Two Lanes of Freedom Tour" to the Golden Triangle on Thursday, June 20, with a concert at Ford Pavilion in Beaumont. Special guests for McGraw's summer trek include Brantley Gilbert and Love and Theft.
Tickets are $28 - $67.75 and go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, March 22 at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Ford Park box office, the Beaumont Civic Center box office, Lake Charles Civic Center, H.E.B. on Dowlen Road in Beaumont, online at www.Ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 800-745-3000.
"We are thrilled to have an artist of the caliber of Tim McGraw bring his national tour to the Ford Pavilion stage," said John Hughes, general manager of Ford Park. "It is especially gratifying to have the performance during our 10th anniversary season."
McGraw released "Two Lanes of Freedom" on Feb. 5, which happens to be his first on Big Machine Records.
"This album marks a new sense of excitement and artistic freedom for me, and I really wanted to extend that same feeling to the tour and create a cool vibe for the fans," McGraw said in a press release. "Let's leave anything that might be weighing us down out in the parking lot and spend a few hours together feeling alive and free. We've started working up new songs from the album, and there's some really cool stuff we'll be able to pull out this summer."
Over the course of his 20 year career, McGraw has sold more than 40 million records and earned an amazing 32 No. 1 singles. Along with that amazing achievement, McGraw has also won numerous awards, including three Grammy's, 14 ACM Awards, 12 CMA Awards and 10 American Music Awards.
McGraw is best known for hit songs such as "I Like It, I Love It," "Don't Take the Girl," "Indian Outlaw," "Just to See You Smile," "Something Like That," "Angry All the Time," "Last Dollar (Fly Away)," and many others.
