PORT ARTHUR —
A preview of the upcoming musical "The Sound of Music," will be presented at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Texas Artists Museum as its July Second Sunday at the Museum program.
Directed by Keith Cockrell, the play is a co-production of Lamar State College and the Port Arthur Little Theatre. One of the most popular of all Broadway musicals, it is frequently revived to delight new and old audiences.
There is no charge for the program, which is open to all. Following the presentation will be the opening reception for the art exhibit of husband and wife team Herb and Cindy Kreutzer. Foyer artist for the month is Liz Tomlinson.
The museum is located off Hwy. 73 and Ninth Avenue in Port Arthur, across from the civic center. For further information, please call the museum between noon and 4 p.m. at 409-983-4881.
