Thanksgiving weekend may be four months away, but it is already shaping up to be a hot one.
The Reverend Horton Heat is returning to Southeast Texas on Saturday, Nov. 24 with a concert at The Gig in downtown Beaumont. Tickets are $12 in advance and go on sale Friday, Aug. 3 online at www.thegigbeaumont.com.
The trio last performed in the Golden Triangle on June 14, 2012, with a concert at The Gig in front of a near-capacity crowd. The show was such as success that talks quickly began of a return engagement in the fall.
The band’s last studio album, “Laughin’ & Cryin’ with the Reverend Horton Heat,” was released in September 2009.
The band has a new documentary concert film, “The Reverend Horton Heat: 25 to Life,” which was recorded in 2010 at the legendary Fillmore Theater in San Francisco, Calif. The DVD includes not only live concert footage, but interviews with band and crew.
The DVD bonus package include the film “25 to Life,” a live CD and a career-spanning “best of” compilation CD, a 52-page booklet featuring images and stories from the band’s 25 year career, all of which is contained within a collectible box making it a “must-have” for any true fan.
