Forget the “da Vinci Code.” Catch a true story that will leave you wondering if it’s possible for an art lover to discover the truth about a lost da Vinci mural and raised questions about the authenticity of a second da Vinci painting.
“The da Vinci Detective,” Dr. Maurizio Seracini, is a rebel who doesn’t take everything the art world says as fact. Seracini investigates and finds answers. He is a pioneering and a controversial forensic scientist who may just shock and revolutionize the art world with his findings.
A true Renaissance man, like his hero Leonardo da Vinci, Seracini uses cutting-edge medical and military technology while on the trail of two fascinating unsolved mysteries. For 30 years he has searched for a lost da Vinci mural unseen since the 1540s. Along the way he has uncovered a series of magnificent da Vinci drawings hidden for years.
It’s intriguing to follow along as this art detective reveals mysteries behind two historic Leonardo da Vinci paintings.
One very exciting moment in the film occurs as Seracini investigates the authenticity of the “Adoration of the Magi,” now on display in Italy. His findings are astonishing and have set the art world abuzz.
Sturgis roars onto DVD
Before you get your motor running, and head out on the highway on your chopper, schedule a little time in front of the TV to see “America Wild and Wacky: Sturgis.”
With your engine off, see what your are missing each August as a small town in South Dakota lures about 500,000 bikers for the largest biker rally in the world. All inhibitions aside, anything can happen at Sturgis. It’s a mecca of motorcycle mania.
In Sturgis, you see some of the most innovative cycles in the world, and wild partying as weekend cyclists and full-time bikers meld together for the time of their lives. It’s all about chrome, leather, tattoos, sweat and beers at this rally.
This DVD takes you behind the scenes as local law enforcement, store owners and citizens brace themselves for the biker onslaught. Then ride along as leather-clad partiers get their fill of cold beer, scantily clad women, custom bikes, midget wrestling, thrill rides, tattooing and rock concerts. The outlaw culture is defined by its passion and “Sturgis” puts you right in the middle of the action.
