He may not be Oprah, but he is more “real” than Dr. Phil.
Reuben Armstrong said it is his passion to tell the “real life” stories of people.
“People want to hear about real life issues,” Armstrong explained about his show, The Reuben Armstrong Show, which airs at 9:30 a.m. Sundays on Fox 64. “So I focus on health issues, drug addictions, incest ... things like that.”
Armstrong said his motivation for working the talk show circuit is to help people take care of their problems.
“There is a lot of growing concern about people’s heath issues,” Armstrong commented. “I want to inspire them to go to the doctor and take care of themselves.”
Currently based in Alexandria, La., Armstrong said by Jan. 2007 he expects his show to move to the Lone Star State and be filmed in front of a live studio audience.
