GROVES —
The Friends of the Groves Public Library organization will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at the library, located at 5600 West Washington in Groves, with President Marty Godwin presiding.
On the agenda are plans for the annual April of Showers Book Sale, for which the organization is currently accepting donations from the public. Members will be able to purchase books beginning April 27, and the book sale will be open to the general public April 28-30.
The library director, Deborah Harper, will report on upcoming plans for the library, and new committee opportunities will be presented. April is the month when memberships must be renewed. Members may renew their annual memberships at the meeting or at any time during library hours.
There are four tiers of yearly memberships available: Individual ($5), Family ($10), Special Friend ($25), and Best Friend ($50). Interested individuals may join at any time. The Friends of the Groves Public Library organization exists for the benefit of the library. Current memberships will expire in April.
