The Groves City Council will hold a work session at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at City Hall, 3927 Lincoln Ave. Items on the agenda include:
• Presentation of a proclamation designating April 2, 2011 as the “Third Annual Avery Anne Guerra Day” in the City of Groves.
• Discuss approval of a hotel/motel funds application for the Junior Masters of Southeast Texas.
• Discuss approval of a hotel/motel funds application for the “Affair of the Arts” event to be held at Celebration Park in Groves on April 2, 2011.
• Discuss authorizing the use of Texas Water Development Board funds for the purchase of a generator for the City of Groves waste water plant.
