Save a pet; support Humane Society

Anita Dugas

Please help the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Road, Beaumont.

Want a pet? Save an animal. They have so many needing a loving home. There are cats, dogs, birds and more. When I went there it broke my heart seeing all of them in the cages waiting for someone to rescue them and take them home. They are well cared for while they are there, but it they are there too long they may be put to sleep.

Instead of going and paying a lot of money for a pure bred or paying a lot at a pet store, save an animal and adopt a pet from the Humane Society. They usually make the best pets when you save their lives. You just pay to have them spayed or neutered. By the way, if everyone would have their pets spayed or neutered there would not be such a problem with strays. It is also heartbreaking to see stray animals starving and needing a home and love.

The Humane Society does so much for animals. Please help. They take pet food donations and money donations. Animals can’t take care of themselves and they need us. Don’t forget animal shelters and pounds when looking for a pet, they need rescuing too. Save a life.
