People Supporting People had a blessed 2007 year. Without the Lord sending others to help us with our goal we could not have made it.
Willie and I wish to thank Janis and Butch Parks of Howard’s Auto for helping us with our goal. The food and other items they donated were a blessing. Thanks to Janis making for making the cakes for the children and senior birthday parties and special occasions throughout the year.
Thanks to Margaret Dwin for all the food she cooked, brought and served in the cold building where we first began, Willie May Levine for her help serving the food and distributing the clothing, Rosie Gothia and her daughter Cindy for all the clothing and supplies they have donated in the past.
Special thanks go out to the late Zola Knight who we have been blessed to purchase the property for People Supporting People, to Conn’s for all they have given in helping me to help others, Mattie Londow for her talks and past support, Barbara Edmonson for all the she has given and for helping with the children, Valero for the help in the past and for donating items when the first storm came, Motiva for help with school items.
A special thanks to Total Petrochemical for all the help you provided in the past and during the 2007 year. What a blessing you have all been on the committee with all the activities we have going on and the lovely trailer of 2007. Special thanks to the late Mr. Downs for all his past donations and to his wife Billie Downs who is always sending something with a prayer.
Lastly, to my husband, Willie, who I have been married to for 36 years. He has been there for me with the cooking, serving, picking up items and helping me with all that we share together. To our children, Kevin, Mickie, Patricia, and our grandson, Joseph, who loves to help. Also to Glen Alexander for the special talks, my brother Eddie Guillory for all the help. My dad, Shelton Guillory Sr., for fixing washers and dryers to donate to those in need. To our attorney friend, Tom Oxford, for all the help he has provided us. The City of Port Arthur and Danny Prosperie for all the help he has provided. The Port Arthur News for all the articles you have done on our organization. Thanks to Time Warner Cable and the Sertoma Aurora.
If I left anyone else out I want to thank you also. For the 2008 year People Supporting People will be hosting different events. Since we are not government funded do not receive grant money we have the Lord first and know that we will make it. There is so much that Willie and I will be offering to help the children, teens, senior citizens and others.

Should Obama get credit or blame?
In a long Saturday Nov. 12 feature column, the writer suggested that President Obama "could only take credit or blame for those things that are the result of his ideas." He then listed twelve items for consideration in making that assessment. An only slightly edited version of those twelve items will make them more useful for that purpose and that version follows. (1) President Obama inherited Bush's Great Recession....which had actually been created, not by Bush, but by a failed seventy year experiment in socialism. (2) He stabilized the banking system....using borrowed money. (3) He extended unemployment benefits....using borrowed money. (4) He reduced taxes....using borrowed money. (5) He signed a health-care law....funded by borrowed money. (6) A nuclear arms treaty was signed with the Soviet Union....which had been defeated by Ronald Reagan twenty years ago. (7) Job loss steadily decreased and eventually has resulted in job gains....among government workers and funded by borrowed money. (8) Obama saved the three American auto companies....using borrowed money. (9) He passed a stimulus plan....using borrowed money. (10) Several Al Qaeda leaders were killed....by our remarkable military teams trained during the Bush Administration. (11) The President is trying to solve the nation's short and long-term economic problems....using borrowed money. (12) President Obama has been willing to compromise....in order to raise taxes or borrow more money.
Based on the writer's list, does President Obama deserve credit or blame?
