Tuesday brings Nederland fest, scattered showers

PORT ARTHUR — The Nederland Heritage Festival will open at 5 p.m. Tuesday along Boston Avenue, on a day the National Weather Service predicts will offers scattered showers:

Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.



Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. South wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.



Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. South wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.



Wednesday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 55. South wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.



Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 72. West wind between 10 and 15 mph.



Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 50. West wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.



Friday: Sunny, with a high near 66. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.



Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.



Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 67. West wind between 10 and 15 mph.
