PORT ARTHUR —
The City of Port Arthur scored a lucky break this week in finding low-priced city buses to lease from the City of New Orleans, La., after suspending its own fleet last week due to fire danger.
On Thursday, the Port Arthur City Council approved a lease of 10 city buses for $500 a month, or $50 per bus per month.
“It puts us back on the road,” said Port Arthur’s Acting City Manager John Comeaux. “It’s a good option for us because it gets that service back and running again.”
