The Port Arthur News
NEDERLAND —
With one eye looking toward the future and the other gazing back at years of hard work and dedication, Port Arthur officials detailed how the Texas maritime facility has made a name for itself in the shipping industry.
The Greater Port Arthur Area Chamber of Commerce saluted the city’s port Tuesday during the Chamber’s monthly membership luncheon.
“If we didn’t have the port, we’d just be called Arthur,” Bill McCoy, Chamber president, said. “Transportation is the thing that makes us what we are. We have a highway to the world, and that’s the port.”
