PORT ARTHUR —
Port Arthur police were called to an aggravated robbery Thursday, June 7 after a man was held at gun point by two unknown assailants.
Police received the call at approximately 4:55 a.m. about the robbery in the 1500 block of Lakecrest Drive. The victim said that as he was arriving home he was approached by two men, one of the suspects then drew a gun and ordered the man to lie on the ground according to a press release from PAPD.
The man began backing away when a vehicle heading south on the road distracted the suspects, giving the man the chance to run into his home and call 911. The suspects then fled on foot.
The victim did not sustain injuries and the suspects were unable to obtain any property from the man. After searching the area officers were unable to locate the suspects.
The incident is being investigated by PAPD and anyone having information regarding the incident are asked to call 409-983-8624.
