PORT ARTHUR — Police are searching for shotgun brandishing man who robbed a delivery driver late Sunday night.

Port Arthur Police responded to a call of a robbery that had just occurred in the 900 block of San Jacinto Avenue. Officers arrived and spoke to a 47-year-old male victim who told officers he works for a shipping company in Houston and was picking up a package in Port Arthur when the incident occurred, according to a press release from PAPD.

As the victim got out of his delivery truck, a vehicle stopped behind him and a male of unknown race then approached the victim with a rifle or shotgun and ordered the man to turn around.

The suspect then put the gun against the victim’s neck and asked for money. The suspect then reached into the victim’s pocket and removed his wallet.

The suspect then told the victim not to turn around, according to information from the police department. The victim then heard a car door slam and the vehicle backed away and then turned around and drove north on San Jacinto Avenue.
