PORT ARTHUR —
A 21-year-old man lost part of his leg Monday when he crashed his motorcycle into a stop sign at the corner of 15th Street and Fifth Avenue in Port Arthur.
Port Arthur police officers arrived on the scene at 4:30 p.m. to find the driver with part of his right leg severed.
No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
The man was transported by helicopter to University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston following the accident.
Port Arthur’s Accident Reconstruction Team was brought out to the scene to investigate.
