Groves Police calls: April 25 through May 1

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from April 25 through May 1



Wednesday, April 25

• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 5800 block of West Jefferson.

• Debit card abuse was reported after funds were taken from an account without authorization.

• A 28-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated with several children in the vehicle in the 6800 block of 39th Street.

• A Craftsman generator, and a Dewalt power drill were stolen from a garage in the 3600 block of Canal.



Thursday, April 26

• A Troy Bilt weedeater with attachments, red Porter air compressor, Dewalt drill, tools and gas cans were stolen from a garage in the 2900 block of Azalea.

• A 27-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 6000 block of Madison.

• Two people were arrested for public intoxication in the 4600 block of Twin City Highway.



Friday, April 27

• A neighbor saw an unknown male wearing a camouflage shirt inside a vehicle parked in the 6500 block of 32nd Street.

• A male was seen trying to break into a house in the 6300 block of 32nd Street.

• A weedeater and a Poulan blower were stolen from the 2500 block of Post Oak.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• A report of threats were made to a subject on Facebook.

• A cell phone was stolen from a house in the 6400 block of Warren.

 

Saturday, April 28

• A customer at the drive-through window at McDonald’s in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway threw a beer bottle and busted the drive-thru window and then left in an older red Pontiac Grand Am.

• A disturbance was investigated in the 7000 block of Terrell.

• A disturbance was investigated in the 4800 block of Beaumont.

• Someone stole a Troy-Bilt weed eater from the 6500 block of Val.

• A 33-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the 6600 block of Val.

 

Sunday, April 29

• A Taurus Judge .410 revolver was stolen from the 3200 block of Eugenia.

• A 1997 Mercedes was stolen from the 5100 block of East Parkway. The vehicle was later found in Port Arthur.

 

Monday, April 30

• A 28-year-old male was arrested for improper photo/visual recording without consent after a cell phone was found to be recording in a ladies’ rest room at a business in the 4700 block of Twin City Highway.

• A red 16-foot Lowboy trailer was stolen from the 5100 block of 25th Street.

• A disturbance and assault was reported in the 6400 block of Warren.

• Calloway Golf Clubs were stolen from the 5200 block of Lincoln.

• A blue backpack containing medication was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4900 block of Simpson.

 

Tuesday, May 1

• Officers investigated the report that a suspicious male subject was carrying a purse in the 5000 block of East Parkway.

• The report of an assault was made.
