BEAUMONT —
Sabrina Whitney has filed an injunction against the Jefferson County Morgue Seeking possession of the body of Sean Steiner, her fiancee with whom she has two children, according to The Southeast Texas Record.
On April 23 Steiner's body was discovered in a Port Arthur canal.
The petition was filed April 25 in Jefferson County District Court.
Whitney filed the injunction to stop the body from being released to someone else.
Upon information and belief, Steiner's biological mother is deceased; thereby, making Whitney and her two children the proper parties to take possession of the body, the petition states, according to The Record.
Whitney is asking the court to enjoin the morgue from releasing the body.
