PORT ARTHUR —
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a man who died in an industrial accident at Total Petrochemicals plant on Tuesday.
James Keith Hudnall, 65, of Orange, was performing construction at the plant at the time on behalf of Mason Construction. Hudnall died after he became trapped as he was digging a fire water distribution trench around 2:15 p.m. Aug. 14.
The man’s death did not involve refinery operations, Total stated in a press release. The incident was confined to the construction area, which had been secured to allow for an investigation. No other injuries had been reported.
