Groves Police responded to the following calls from Aug. 8 through Aug. 14
Wednesday, Aug. 8
• A 26-inch red colored Schwinn bicycle was stolen from the 4500 block of Harrison.
• Meat was stolen from a business in the 5000 block of 32nd Street. The suspects were described as a white female with bleach blonde hair and a white male who were seen leaving with the items in a black four door car.
• Someone passed a forged check in the amount of $900.00.
• A 24-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 2500 block of Main Avenue after officers were called to a wreck scene.
• An assault was reported in the 2800 block of Pearl.
Thursday, Aug. 9
• An assault was reported in the 6900 block of 39th Street.
• A disturbance was reported in the 6800 block of Camden Lane.
• A juvenile was arrested on a directive to apprehend.
• Cash was stolen from a motel room in the 3100 block of East Parkway and the victim’s purple 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis was also stolen.
• Someone stole a 10-foot Tophat trailer from a front yard in the 6300 block of Monroe.
• Graffiti was spray painted on two buildings in the 5600 block of West Washington.
• A gas lawn trimmer was stolen from the 5600 block of 39th Street.
• Someone kicked open a door to a residence in the 5800 block of Georgia. Nothing appeared to be missing.
Friday, Aug. 10
• Graffiti was spray painted on a building in the 5500 block of East Parkway.
Saturday, Aug. 11
• A 19-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants after officers were called to a disturbance in the 5200 block of Woodlawn.
• Four snow boards, camping equipment, fishing poles and Barbie dolls were stolen from a storage unit in the 3700 block of Lincoln.
Sunday, Aug. 12
• A yellow 2000 90cc Polaris 4-wheeler was stolen from the 6200 block of Jefferson.
• A 27-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 3600 block of Canal.
Monday, Aug. 13
• A gold colored Toyota 4-Runner was stolen from the 3100 block of East Parkway.
• A black purse was stolen from the 6700 block of 25th Street.
• An Echo weed eater was stolen from a garage in the 2300 block of Reagan.
• An 18-year-old female was arrested for assault in the 2300 block of Owens.
Tuesday, Aug. 14
• A 62-year-old male was issued a criminal trespass warning from a local business in the 4800 block of Twin City Highway.
• An assault was reported in the 6100 block of Willis.
