The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a flash flood watch for portions of southeast Texas and Louisiana in effect from Friday morning through Saturday evening.
A large slow moving upper level system will move east through the weekend. Several disturbances accompanying the system will cross the area Friday into Saturday. Ample moisture over the area, combined with the slow movement of the system, will lead to multiple rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall Friday into Saturday, according to the NWS.
