GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from Jan. 20 to Jan. 26:
Wednesday, Jan. 20
• A 25-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication in the 5500 block of East Parkway after officers located a wrecked vehicle in the parking lot of a local business.
• A Tom Tom GPS was stolen from a 2005 Chevrolet truck in the 5900 block of West Madison.
• Three shotguns, a 47-inch LCD television, a generator and several rods and reels were stolen from a home in the 1900 block of Ray Avenue.
Thursday, Jan. 21
• A local business in the 6900 block of Hogaboom Road called for an officer to assist with a disturbance with a terminated employee, the officers apprehended the 28-year-old male and placed him under arrest for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
• While on routine patrol in the 3200 block of Texas 73, an officer observed a vehicle speeding, once the officer stopped the vehicle the 52-year-old driver was arrested for DWI second offense and for possession of marijuana.
Friday, Jan. 22
• A Panasonic CD/MP3 player was stolen out of a vehicle parked in the 4800 block of Twin City Highway. A man was seen leaving the vehicle and jump into a silver or tan colored truck, fleeing the area.
• A city of Groves garbage can was stolen from the 3700 block of Charles.
• A person reported being robbed at gunpoint in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
• A 22-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 7000 block of Howe.
• A 52-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication in the 3700 block of Main.
Saturday, Jan. 23
• A yellow and black 2008 Suzuki motorcycle was stolen off of an open bed trailer in the 6300 block of Monroe.
• Someone struck a parked vehicle and then left the scene in the 2600 block of Twin City Highway.
• Tires were cut and the paint was scratched on a parked vehicle in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
• A 35-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
• A 48-year-old male was arrested for assault after a disturbance was reported in the 3100 block of Taft.
• A 26-inch Emerson TV, a Time Warner cable box and a VCR were stolen from a house in the 6200 block of 25th Street.
Sunday, Jan. 24
• A 24-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Pure Atlantic Road.
• A 47-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 3800 block of Pure Atlantic Road.
• A 26-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3800 block of Pure Atlantic Road.
• A Sony Playstation II and an X-Box were stolen from the 6500 block of 32nd Street.
• Someone punctured a tire on a vehicle parked in the 5000 block of 25th Street.
• Someone apparently shot a window on a house in the 3800 block of Grant.
Monday, Jan. 25
• A 33-year -old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 6300 block of Terrell.
• A Motorola portable radio and radio charger were stolen from a vehicle in the 6300 block of Val.
• A 29-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication after a disturbance call in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
• Forged checks were passed in Houston without the consent of the owner.
• Items were purchased with a stolen credit card in the 5600 block of 39th Street.
• A license plate was stolen off of a vehicle parked in the 5500 block of West Washington.
A disturbance was reported in the 3700 block of Doyle.
Tuesday, Jan. 26
• Officers were called to the 6300 block of Terrell in reference to a disturbance. A 24-year-old male was arrested for assault and a 32-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication.
• Credit card abuse was reported in the 4300 block of McKinley.
