BEAUMONT — BEAUMONT — The driver killed in a Beaumont collision Monday night has been identified as Peter Treille, 63, of Beaumont..
A 1996 Ford Escort driven by Treille was northbound on Dowlen Street in the left turn lane when it collided with a Chevrolet truck that was southbound on Dowlen Street at about 9:46 p.m. Monday.
The Chevrolet entered the intersection at Dowlen and Gladys with a green traffic light and the Escort turned left into the path of the truck where they collided, Beaumont police reported. Treille was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
