A former teacher with the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD has been arrested and charged with having a sexual relationship with an underage student.
Bryan Lee Hyde, 32, faces charges of two counts Improper Relationship Between an Educator and Student as well as two counts Sexual Assault of a Child according to a press release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The original report, filed on Jan. 26, stated a student reported the relationship to LCMCISD administration officials. OCSO deputies investigated the incident, Hyde was indicted Feb. 22.
If convicted Hyde faces from two years probation up to twenty years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each count. Bond has been set at a total of $30,000. Hyde is currently being held at the Orange County Correctional Facility.
