A dense fog advisory is in effect until noon Wednesday for portions of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
Visibility less than one mile can be expected with areas of dense fog as low as one quarter of a mile. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling.
The fog extends from the I-10 corridor southward into the coastal waters out 20 nautical miles.

By afternoon the next upper level disturbance will generate a round of thunderstorms over the region.
Storms are likely to be severe with large hail and damaging winds possible. There is also the possibility of an isolated tornado as well.
The chance for showers and thunderstorms is 50 percent, otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies with a high around 71 and a low near 57.
