PORT NECHES — A thief in Port Neches had a unique mode of transportation when leaving the scene of a crime Monday morning — a bicycle.
The manager of Dollar General, 2825 Nall, was walking out of the store with bank deposit bags when a bicyclist rode by and grabbed the two bags and left the scene about 8:17 a.m. March 15.
No injuries were reported and no weapon was used, Port Neches Police Sgt. Danny Buchholz said.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30’s, about 5-foot 8-inches tall and about 160 pounds. He was wearing a black ball cap, blue jeans and a black and red jacket.
He was last seen riding an older model green bicycle.
