Groves Police calls, Sept. 21 to Sept. 27

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 21 to Sept. 27



Wednesday, Sept. 21

• A 20-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 2700 block of East Parkway.

• A City of Groves garbage can was stolen from the 6100 block of Real.

• A red push lawn mower from a yard in the 3000 block of Taft.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• A disturbance was investigated in the 7200 block of Terrell.

• Theft charges were filed in the 5200 block of Twin City Highway.

• Gasoline containers were stolen from the 5400 block of Mockingbird.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• Someone broke a window on a vehicle and stole a flip screen CD/DVD player, a gold class ring and a wallet.

• Someone cut the wires on a breaker box in the 6300 block of Howe.

 

Thursday, Sept. 22

• A female attempted to pass a forged check in the 5100 block of West Parkway.

 

Friday, Sept. 23

• An aggravated robbery report was made in the 3200 block of Woodlawn. The victim stated that a black male entered his residence and held him at gun point. The subject stole cash and a 2012 Hyundai Sonata which was later recovered in Port Arthur.

• A disturbance was investigated in the 6100 block of Dave.

• A total of $399 was charged to a bank account without the owner’s consent. The victim stated that a male subject telephoned her saying he was from the Social Security Department and that he needed her bank routing number to deposit money into her account.

• An air filter and gas cap was stolen from a tractor parked in the 6400 block of Carolina.

• Two laptop computers were stolen from a house in the 5700 block of Baird. A rock was thrown through a glass door to gain entry.

• A disturbance was investigated in the 4100 block of Willowoak.

• Someone threw a tire jack through the rear window of a vehicle parked in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

 

Saturday, Sept. 24

• A 37-year-old male was arrested for assault in the 2800 block of Oak.

• A 30-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant after officers were called about a suspicious person in the 3900 block of Pure Atlantic. A 49-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication.

• A window screen was pried off of a house in the 5700 block of Georgia. No entry was made.

• A Galaxy Marine CB radio, a Marine AM/FM radio, life jackets and marine batteries were stolen from a boat parked in the 3800 block of Main.

• Someone broke a door handle and scratched the paint on a vehicle in the 6700 block of Washington.

• A disturbance was investigated in the 4600 block of Roosevelt.

• A Gateway laptop computer, a Garmin Nuvi GPS were stolen from a motel room in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

 

Sunday, Sept. 25

• A 24-year-old male was arrested for resisting arrest.

• Two juvenile males were found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 5300 block of North.

• Tools were stolen from a business in the 5200 block of Twin City Highway.

 

Monday, Sept. 26

• Tools, a red air bank and a wooden swing were stolen from a business in the 5200 block of Twin City Highway.

• Two business accounts were opened without the victim’s consent.

• Someone attempted to kick in a door of a residence in the 5900 block of 32nd Street.

• A 31-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3000 block of Pure Atlantic.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 27

• Electrical wiring was stripped from a vacant house in the 2700 block of Royal. A central air conditioner unit and a window air conditioner unit were also stolen.

• A boy’s Verde 19-inch black and gold bicycle and a 20-inch green Redline bicycle were stolen from the 3400 block of Taft.

• Tools, chainsaw, turkey fryer, camping equipment, carpet shampooer and vacuum cleaner were stolen from the 3400 block of Nottingham.
