PORT NECHES —
Two men who started out as customers at a Port Neches doughnut shop ended up robbing the business early Tuesday morning.
Port Neches Police responded to the aggravated robbery at Daylight Donuts, 1601 Magnolia Ave., at about 4:16 a.m. June 19.
The victim told police that two black males entered the restaurant about 4 a.m. and ordered food. The men finished their food and one of the suspects walked up to the counter and displayed an unknown type black handgun and demanded money, according to a press release from Port Neches Police Department.
The victim complied and the suspects fled the area on foot. They were last seen running south on Magnolia Avenue.
The suspect displaying the weapon was described as a short black male wearing a blue sweat shirt. The second suspect was described as tall and was wearing a red sweat shirt. The vicim was unable to provide any other description of the suspects.
Port Neches Police Chief Paul Lemoine said there were three employees inside the business at the time of the robbery and the two male suspects were the only customers inside during the incident. No injuries were reported.
