The 2012 hurricane season may be nearing its end but that isn’t stopping the formation of tropical storms.
The National Weather Service is watching two recently formed storms — Sandy, which is approaching the coast of Jamaica, and Tony, which is located in the Atlantic.
A tropical storm watch is in effect for the southeastern Bahamas, Florida east coast from the Volusia/Brevard county line to Ocean Reef, Florida upper keys from Ocean Reef to Craig Key and Florida Bay.
A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect for Tropical Storm Tony at this time.
The 2012 Atlantic hurricane season ends Nov. 30.
