PORT ARTHUR —
Emergency officials are investigating an unknown suspicious package at the building that houses the U.S. Coast Guard on Turtle Creek Drive near Anchor Drive in Port Arthur.
Police blocked entrance to the area around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday and traffic is being diverted around the building.
Port Arthur Police Sgt. Scott Gaspard said emergency officials have no reason to believe the package is dangerous but are taking necessary precautions.
