— The Port Arthur Police Department received a panic alarm, then a call from Nick’s Grocery in the 3000 block of 39th Street shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday. The call advised that the store had been robbed. Patrol, street crimes and detectives responded to the area and found that a subject entered the store and demanded the money, advising he had a gun. The clerk complied. Investigation revealed that a man matching the same description entered another convenience store within a couple of blocks of Nick’s and attempted to get money. Video yielded a photograph and the suspect was arrested.
