NEDERLAND — Former Nederland resident Donna Porterfield Sullivan says she’s grateful, but not surprised, that friends have banded to raise money for her medical expenses.
She has an inoperable brain tumor in Stage 4, and a benefit will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Eagles Bingo Hall, 2313 Nederland Ave.
Organizers say to look for good music, good food and good people, as well as silent auctions.
