City officials' attempts to push an internal candidate’s application for city manager, and the overall way the city conducts business, are topics three city councilmen plan to address Friday during a press conference.
John Beard, District 5 city councilman; Harold Doucet, mayor pro tem; and Raymond Scott Jr., District 1; are leading the press conference, scheduled for 11 a.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, fifth floor, 444 Fourth St., Port Arthur.
“The press conference is about our dissatisfaction, about the way the city manager search is going, how the project has been hijacked,” Beard said in a telephone interview Thursday.
